Biofeedback treatment (MAPLE)
Pelvic Pelvic Physical Therapy has been working with the latest myofeedback equipment the MAPLe for some time.
The unique design of the probe with 24 electrodes makes the MAPLe suitable for rectal as well as vaginal use.
Targeted and effective treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction begins with an accurate diagnosis.
This new probe reveals where the problem is in the pelvic floor: it can measure all quadrants of the pelvic floor (front/back/right/left).
This allows for a better diagnosis and more targeted treatment (as a patient, you are more likely to be aware of which muscles have the problem).
The MAPLe is the first clinically validated system for EMG recording and electrostimulation for diagnosis and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunctions.
The MAPLe was developed in collaboration with Leiden University Medical Center.
